Wine of the Region of Dão, made solely from grapes from the best plots at Quinta dos Carvalhais, especially Touriga Nacional. It has a very deep violet hue and a complex, fairly intense bouquet showing all its youth. Of special note are its ripe red fruits tones, harmoniously combined with hints of eucalyptus, menthol and spices. In the mouth it shows an intense structure of fine body, with an extremely well-balanced acidity, in conjunction with robust and yet soft tannins that are noticeable trough out the tasting. Ripe fruit and fresh marmalade flavours contribute to a long and intense finish, where French oak wood is also remarkable. Excellent with fine meat, game and intense cheese.
